Dialkyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride

Dialkyl dimethyl ammonium chloride has better ability to form capsules and stronger surface tension due to its hydrophilic group and two lipophilic groups, which can enhance their water solubility. Even in hardness water, it also shows fairly good solubility and good stability.  The bactericidal performance of the double long-chain quaternary ammonium salt is better than that of the single-long-chain quaternary ammonium salt. The long-lasting effect of the drug is long, the foam is less, the decontamination ability is good, the toxicity is low, the residue is non-volatile and non-irritating, and the fabric is not discolored.

Dialkyl dimethyl ammonium chloride has excellent antistatic and anticorrosive properties and has good dispersing emulsifying and foaming effects. Therefore, it is widely used in oil field sterilization, medical and health, industrial circulating water sterilization, algae killing, and oilfield drilling. In other respects, its bactericidal effect is superior to the most widely used dodecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride.

The main products of dialkyl dimethyl ammonium chloride include dioctyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, di(octyl/decyl)dimethyl ammonium chloride, didectyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, dicocoalkyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, and dihydrogenated tallow dimethyl ammonium chloride.
