Surfactant possesses high-efficient cleaning and disinfection, having been the most important part of cleaning products. Surfactant is the main constituent part of detergent, which will have a series of physical and chemical interactions with dirt and between the dirt and solid surface (like: wetting, penetration, emulsification, solubilization, dispersion and foaming) and gain washing effect by means of mechanical stirring. Anionic and non-ion surface active agent are the most widely used; instead, cationic and ampho-surfactant only find their roles when some detergents that are special types and are with specific functions. The major varieties are AS, AES, MES, AOS, alkal polyethenoxy ether, alkylphenol ethoxylates, fat acyl diethanol amine, amio acid type and lycine.
